Meaningful Man

Abstract: The idea for this paper gradually emerged through the work with a series of performances, Wayfahrer, which eventually focused on the concept of `meaning´, and what is the meaning of an act, or more precisely a "creative act". The paper aims for investigating the possible theoretical connections between art and leadership, and further the emerging feeling of a mismatch between insights in the arts and existing theory, especially in the fields of leadership and art, which both are close to "creative processes". The focus of this paper is therefore on the possible connection of art and leadership of new initiatives: ideas, artistic initiatives, entrepreneurial ventures, innovations and/or intrapreneurial actions. An even more precise focus would be on the individual initiating action of some sort, creating energy, or infusing ideas into organizations or society.
